Play. Explore. Create.

At Wildwood Farm and Daycare, we are dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment for your children. Our mission is to foster growth, creativity, curiosity, and a lifelong love for learning in every child who joins our program. We believe deeply in the power of nature, and we are committed to helping kids step away from screens and rediscover the joy of outdoor exploration.
Nestled in beautiful Washtenaw County, our program embraces all seasons, sunshine, rain, or snow, as opportunities for adventure, discovery, and hands-on learning. From hiking to playing, and observing the natural world, we empower children to build confidence, resilience, and imagination through meaningful outdoor experiences.
At the heart of Wildwood Farm and Daycare is a dedication to honoring and respecting every child and every family. We strive to create an inclusive, supportive community where each child feels valued, understood, and encouraged to be their authentic self. Through nature, play, and compassionate care, we aim to help children build strong foundations for a healthy and joyful future.

Sarah is thrilled to be able to create a loving and nurturing space for children to explore and play with the support of her family. Before starting her own family she worked at the Chicago Waldorf School as both a mixed age kindergarten teacher and a parent child teacher. She now has three boys who are her inspiration and can often be seen adventuring outside.

Gabe‘s woodworking business, Vise & Virtue (visevirtue.com) has created many beautiful pieces for Wildwood, including shelves, cubbies, blocks, and our lunch table. He is also designing and creating our incredible nature playspace. He is also our substitute whenever needed.

Cynthia Zender, Sarah's Mom, is thrilled to spend some of her retirement telling stories and reading to all the children at Wildwood Farm & Daycare. After a long career as a technical trainer at a software company, Cynthia is putting her English degree to use by telling stories to the children.
